How Our Network Works
Who you talk to
You talk to an independent local provider. Not a call center script. Each provider runs their own business, sets their own prices and does their own work. Declinedwages Concrete makes the introduction. Then we step back.
What happens on the call
Keep it simple. Say what you want: a driveway, a stamped surface or a patio. Give the rough size. Say what is there now, if anything. Mention your timing. The provider may ask a few questions and suggest a visit to the site.
Call hours vary by provider. Request a callback to check provider availability.
What to ask a contractor
Use this short list. Write down the answers.
- What is under the slab? A good answer names the base material and depth.
- How thick will it be? A good answer gives a number and a reason.
- How will you handle frost and drainage? A good answer talks about slope, joints and where water goes.
- Is the quote in writing? The answer should be yes, with the scope listed.
- Can I see a similar job that is a few years old? A confident provider says yes.
If the answers are vague, that is your signal.
You are in control
You can ask for more than one quote. You can say no. You can take time. A good provider does not rush you. Pressure to sign on the spot is a red flag. Get it written. Then compare.
